These LC-2 style Y-type suspenders are a part of the ALICE system (The All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment) that was adopted as United States Army Standard in the early 1980's. As they are designed for use with the LC-2 belt their fully adjustable straps can be attached to belt on four points with self closing hooks. Additionally left and right chest portion has rectangular O-rings for attachment of other ALICE gear such as pouches or other accessories. What is more suspenders may fit some tool belts with rings or grommets on the belt being a great support when carrying loads. It can be even attach to regular belt loops on jeans and hunting pants.
